Ghunzanoss Design Group is a Connecticut-based Design firm offering ground-up build, full-scale renovation, new construction, and comprehensive furnishing and decor services. Our highly skilled and organized team oversees every aspect of the design process, from design sketches and drawings to the selection of finishes, furnishings, fabrics, and accessories. We take pride in dedicating ourselves to in lasting craftsmanship, simple timeless details, and building inheritable quality homes and spaces.

At the core of Ghunzanoss Design Group are its people. Each member of our team is committed to upholding timeless design values, refined detailing, and exceptional craftsmanship—qualities we take great pride in. Our drawings reflect a high level of care and precision. With a deep understanding of historical styles and standards, we focus on creating architecture rooted in traditional and period influences. We thoughtfully incorporate the unique character of each region, blending architectural heritage with modern living and advanced technologies. The result is new construction that feels historically authentic while offering all the benefits of contemporary design.

CEO, ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER

  • Founder of the firm and originally from Bridgeport, Connecticut, Azana began his career in the construction industry as a Journeyman Electrician since 2012. His passion in witnessing the process of building a home from scratched led him to pursue a degree in Architecture and receive his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Hartford in 2021. During and after his graduation, Azana had worked as a Designer for Clark Construction, Moss Design, and more notably as an Architect Associate for Mark P. Finlay Architects in Southport, Connecticut for four years. In 2025, Azana established Ghunzanoss Deign Group. As one of three CEOs and lead designer of the firm, he oversees and personally directs the design and execution of each of the firm’s projects with the help of his colleagues, Joseph Ghunney and Steven Ross. Azana and his fiancé Emerald reside in Danbury, Connecticut.

  • Originally from East Hartford, Connecticut, Ross graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the University of Hartford. After graduation, he worked at AEPM International, where he spent four years working primarily on mixed-use and commercial properties. From there he grew a passion for residential design and is pursuing a Masters in Architecture from Arizona State University. Ross Co-Founded Ghunzanoss Design Group and is one of three CEOs due to his passion and love for the field. Today, he leads the firm’s technical side in residential and commercial projects. He continues living in East Hartford, Connecticut with his wife Karina and upcoming baby boy.   • Originally from Glastonbury, Connecticut, Ghunney also attended the University of Hartford where he earned a Bachelor of Architecture Degree in 2021. Ghunney worked at Michael Baker International for a year until joining Steven at AEPM International, where he spent three years working primarily on mixed-use and commercial properties. Ghunney is pursuing a Masters in Architecture from Arizona State University. Ghunney Co-Founded Ghunzanoss Design Group and is one of three CEOs due to his amazing design and programing skills. He leads the rendering team for various residential and commercial projects. Ghunney continues to live in Glastonbury, Connecticut with his wife Emmanuella. He's very well-versed in the field of technology as his hobby is to build computers and similar systems for fun.

DIRECTOR OF INTERIOR DESIGN

  • Coviello graduated from Montserrat College of Art where her passion for art transitioned to the world of luxury residential interior design. She thoughtfully brings creative and unique ideas and details to each space. Coviello is responsible for overseeing residential and commercial interior design projects where she is passionate about leading projects from start to finish, working hand in hand with our designers, contractors, and trades throughout the entirety of the project. Coviello is committed to creating beautiful spaces that stay true to the aesthetic. Originally from Enfield, Connecticut, Emerald moved to Danbury, Connecticut where she spends time with her hobbies in art and living with her lab-mix dog and fiancé Christian.

BARKETING INTERN

  • Still learning the ropes (and occasionally chewing on them), our resident Barketing Intern specializes in emotional support, light pawduct testing, and supervising snack breaks. Though she’s a bit shy and prefers naps over networking, her cuddle-to-effort ratio is unmatched. Approach gently—bribes in the form of treats encouraged.
